About Us

Paradise Imports began in 1987 after Nancy and Jon returned from a couple of years travelling in Asia and beyond. Their love of cultures and people in these wonderful exotic locales inspired them to showcase the beauty of hand crafted treasures from the East to the West.

Starting out, Nancy and Jon imported jewellery that they carefully selected by artists in Asia, and years later progressed into creating and designing their own jewelley. 2007 found them roasting fair trade coffee on their in-store Dierich coffee roaster, and making the most wonderful Cappucinos, Lattes and Espressos.

Yearly treasure hunts take Nancy and Jon to different places on the globe, where they find unique pieces hand crafted by local families. Whether it is a hand forged Gong from Bali, or a Spirit House from Thailand, cultures represented from one part of the globe find their way to this unique boutique on the east coast of Canada in the Capital City, Fredericton, New Brunswick.

All of the nancyjon.com collection is handcrafted in their studios. Most of their pieces are one-of-a-kind.

Nancy and Jon both design and hand craft the bracelets, earrings, and necklaces.

Jon is the metalsmith. All of the rings are hand crafted individually in silver, or 14K gold and silver.

Stones in the nancyjon jewellery collection, whether it is an Australian Opal, Brazilian Tourmaline, or Labradorite from Canada, are found while they are on their treasure hunt.
Pearls are widely favoured in the nancyjon.com collection.

Cutting stones from rough, to find that magic picture come to life and then set into a ring or pendent, are creations Jon brings to the collection.
